Posh Spice really, really loves Vancouver

Spice Girls comeback opening date planned to fit in with husband David Beckham's soccer appearance

Family comes first, she said. She credits her husband's support as inspiring her other pursuits as well -- including television and film appearances, her style guide (That Extra Half Inch) and her DVB line of fashion accessories.

"David is involved with everything that I do and I'm involved with everything that he does," she said. "We're soulmates."

The couple makes sure to keep romance a priority, she said, in spite of busy schedules and constant media scrutiny.

"Me and David can just be sitting in at home together and we will laugh. We really, really make each other laugh," Beckham said.

A lot has changed since the Spice Girls last performed together, she said, especially in the personal lives of the band members -- most of whom have children now, she said.

"We're much more mature and I think we're all appreciating things a lot more," she said.

During the band's heyday, it sold 55 million records, Beckham said, a feat she didn't fully appreciate at the time.

"It's not until you get older that you look back and go wow, it's incredible and we really, really want to celebrate that," she said.

And the new tour? "Our fans are going to love it. It's going to be exciting. It's going to be thrilling."

But before she can say more, she gets a welcome interruption.

"I have to go now. My kids are dragging me away and I promised them I'm not working today," she said -- sounding very much like a good mom.
